Senior Sales Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team, specializing in rental equipment solutions for industrial and event applications. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience in the sales of rental equipment, such as pumps, chillers, and HVAC-related equipment. This role combines sales with operational support, requiring a well-rounded skill set in both business development and project coordination.
Role Responsibilities:
- Sales Focus (70%): Actively sell rental solutions for industrial and event equipment, including pumps, chillers, HVAC systems, and related products.
- HVAC Service Solutions (20%): Provide sales and support for HVAC service solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and technical accuracy.
- Operations Support (10%): Assist with logistics, site installations, vendor coordination, and other operational aspects of the rental business.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, and vendors across various industries, ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., service, logistics, technical) to ensure seamless execution of the rental sales process, from initial inquiry to final delivery and installation.
- Site Surveys & Assessments: Conduct site surveys at customer locations to assess equipment requirements and provide customized rental solutions.
- Turnkey Solutions: Propose and manage turnkey rental solutions, which may include equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and on-site support for HVAC, pumps, and other systems.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Address equipment breakdowns and collaborate with the service team to ensure quick resolution and minimize downtime.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of rental fleets, ensuring that all equipment is delivered, installed, and removed as per the project requirements.
Role Purpose:
- Achieve sales targets through effective business development and relationship-building strategies.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Utilize analytical thinking to propose and deliver practical solutions to customers.
- Engage with customers across multiple industries, offering tailored solutions and ensuring satisfaction.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and solutions to package and present the most suitable options to clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the end-to-end rental solutions sales process, including documentation and compliance.
- Drive new customer acquisition while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and vendors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 4-8 years of experience in industrial/ event sales of rental equipment (pumps, chillers, HVAC systems, etc.) or relevant operational experience in the industrial sector.
- Sales Acumen: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with customers at all levels.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation: Positive, outgoing, and driven to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
- Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with the operations of rental equipment and technical requirements for HVAC and pump systems is an advantage.
