About this position


As an Associate, FP&A, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting for Carrier’s Refrigeration business. This position offers early‑career exposure to core FP&A processes, cross‑functional collaboration, and executive‑level reporting, while helping drive data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. Based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, the role provides an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in financial analysis within a global, industrial organization.

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyze monthly actual results and investigate variances versus Plan, Prior Year, and Prior Forecast; identify trends, P&L improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan, including planning calendars, timelines, targets, and key deliverables.
  • Manage financial data loading, reconciliation, and reporting in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), including forecasts, functional costs, plans, orders, P&L, and balance sheet data.
  • Coordinate monthly reporting templates, commentary, and guidance with Refrigeration sub-businesses to ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive data for HQ decision-making.
  • Prepare weekly profit assurance presentations and interim performance updates for Refrigeration leadership to assess business risks and opportunities.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of month-end reporting packages, including key KPIs such as sales, profit, working capital, and productivity.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and P&L analyses as needed and present insights to FP&A leadership.
  • Review Refrigeration HQ functional budgets and partner with Controllership to identify, analyze, and explain unusual or non-recurring charges.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / business administration / economics / commerce / international business management.
  • 3+ months internship / co-op / experience in finance.

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • MBA Degree.
  • Proficient with Ms-Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Highly adaptable self‑starter with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
