About This Role 

The Operations Leader, Systems & Controls Solutions, is responsible for driving operational strategy and execution for the Systems & Controls Solutions business. This role serves as the single point of contact for all operational functions, including Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, and Operations Excellence, while providing strategic oversight and alignment across Procurement and SIOP activities. 

Acting as the primary operations partner to the Systems & Controls Solutions business leader, this position ensures business growth strategies, customer commitments, and product roadmaps are translated into operational results across the end-to-end value chain. The role is accountable for delivering performance across safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost while enabling scalability, innovation, and operational readiness to support the evolving needs of intelligent building, controls, and digital solutions customers. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as the principal operational partner to the Systems & Controls Solutions business leader, translating business objectives into executable operational strategies and measurable outcomes. 
• Lead and influence performance across manufacturing operations, materials management, quality assurance, and customer delivery functions to ensure reliable execution and customer satisfaction. 
• Drive operational excellence across the Systems & Controls Solutions manufacturing and supply network, ensuring alignment of capacity, inventory, and resources with business demand and growth objectives. 
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, productivity, and customer experience, driving accountability and continuous improvement. 
• Oversee materials planning and inventory management strategies to optimize working capital, improve inventory turns, and ensure uninterrupted supply to customers. 
• Partner closely with Supply Chain, SIOP, Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Commercial teams to ensure integrated planning and effective execution across the value chain. 
• Support new product introductions, technology transitions, and portfolio expansion initiatives by ensuring operational readiness, capacity planning, and manufacturing scalability. 
• Champion quality and reliability throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring customer requirements are embedded in operational decision-making and execution. 
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Carrier Excellence, and digital transformation methodologies to improve operational performance and competitiveness. 
• Develop and execute long-range operational strategies, including network optimization, footprint planning, capacity investments, and productivity initiatives to support business growth. 
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning. 
• Provide strategic leadership during business transformations, operational integrations, and growth initiatives while effectively managing risk and driving sustainable results. 
• Drive operational performance and productivity with electronic contract manufacturing partners. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or related functions within industrial, electronics, controls, automation, or technology-driven manufacturing environments. 

 Preferred Qualifications 

• MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business. 
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or related functions within industrial, electronics, controls, automation, or technology-driven manufacturing environments. 
• Demonstrated success leading multi-site operations and complex cross-functional organizations. 
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, quality management, supply chain planning, inventory management, and operational excellence methodologies. 
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across business and functional organizations. 
• Experience leading organizational transformation, operational improvement, and growth initiatives. 
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent operational excellence credentials. 
• Experience within building automation, controls, electronics manufacturing, connected devices, software-enabled products, or intelligent building technologies. 
• Experience supporting new product introductions, product lifecycle management, and technology-driven business growth. 

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $174,500.00 - $348,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

This position is entitled to both short and long-term incentives, subject to plan requirements.
