Position Overview
As the BAS Controls Engineering Supervisor, you will lead a high-performing team of Controls Engineers. In this key leadership role, you will balance team management, mentorship, quality control, and manpower planning with high-level technical direction on complex building automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Direct, manage, and mentor direct reports. Conduct performance reviews, manage employee development, and lead interviewing/hiring initiatives.
- Partner with the Engineering Manager in manpower planning to allocate engineering resources, balance project workloads, and monitor project backlogs.
- Oversee hardware and software QA/QC reviews for direct reports. Ensure technical deliverables align with customer specifications, company standards, and project schedules.
- Design complete Building Automation Systems (BAS), including specifying controllers, field devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware. Create sequences of operation and submittal documentation.
- Configure WebCTRL systems (via SiteBuilder) and program control algorithms and third-party integrations (via Eikon).
- Design graphic and text interfaces using Eikon and ViewBuilder.
- Perform functional testing and commissioning for complex systems, including central chiller plants and large-scale integrations.
- Partner with Sales Representatives during pre-sales engineering to ensure technical accuracy, and coordinate closely with Project Managers to maintain project milestones
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of HVAC Controls experience, OR Associate Degree with 4+ years of HVAC Controls experience
- 1+ years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Visio or equivalent CAD design software.
- 1+ years of experience with BAS software, engineering tools, and standard protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time locally
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Construction, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of HVAC Controls experience.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Automated Logic software tools (WebCTRL, SiteBuilder, Eikon, ViewBuilder).
- Advanced expertise in enterprise IP networking layouts, troubleshooting, and complex mechanical/electrical systems.
- Strong ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural blueprints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities, paired with effective remote troubleshooting and a team-first mindset.
- Proven ability to author clear project documentation and navigate and manage the formal RFI process.
- Ability to climb ladders, use lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.Benefits
