This position is located in the Northern Tri-State area, preferably Clifton, NJ.
Automated Logic, a division of Carrier Corporation, is searching for an experienced Building Automation Controls Professional to support a dynamic team of Sales Professionals in the NY and NJ Areas.
The Inside Sales Support Representative is responsible for estimating building automation projects and providing sales support. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the sales team to help achieve its goals by fostering strong contractor relationships, evaluating specifications, soliciting subcontractors such as electrical installers and producing competitive technical estimates. This position will also work to train toward a transition to an outside sales role. This position is intended to be approximately a 2 year appointment completing with a smooth transition to an Outside Sales Engineering role.
Summary
Experienced Building Automation Professional working in a support role to the sales team to evaluate leads, build mechanical and general contractor relationships, perform take-offs, and provide competitive estimates. Responsible for improving processes to enhance inside sales performance.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Provide accurate estimates to minimize risk while maintaining low cost
- Track quantity and dollar volume of estimates
- Meet project deadlines
- Assist sales team with estimates, walk-throughs and field surveys
- Create a scope letter for projects
- Review specification and control schematics
- Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals
- Provide backup support for quotes and deviations from specifications.
- Respond and communicate to interdepartmental requests in a timely manner
- Utilize applicable sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results
- Train to develop skills in outside sales

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School or GED
- 3+ years of sales experience with 2+ year’s experience with HVAC and Building Automation Controls
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- Detail oriented
- Local experience is preferred – New York, New Jersey area
- Salesforce
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (general contractors, mechanical contractors, sub-contractors, electrical contractors, etc)
- Previous inside sales experience highly preferred
