About the Role
The Warehousing Category Manager, plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the end-to-end strategy for Carrier’s North American warehousing network. This role is responsible for driving cost, service, supplier performance, and long-term transformation across a complex, multi-site footprint.


In this position, you will directly impact customer experience and enterprise performance by ensuring world-class service delivery, disciplined cost management, and continuous improvement. You will lead network transformation initiatives including footprint optimization, automation, make/buy decisions, and operating model redesign—helping Carrier scale efficiently and competitively.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the Warehousing Category Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a multi-year warehousing category strategy aligned with business, operations, and supply chain objectives

  • Leading supplier segmentation, selection, consolidation, and executive-level relationship management with key 3PL partners

  • Owning commercial outcomes, including negotiations, total cost models, pricing frameworks, and contract governance

  • Driving cost savings, cost avoidance, service performance, and contract compliance across the network

  • Leading and supporting warehouse network transformation initiatives, including footprint optimization, automation, insource/outsource decisions, and site startups, transitions, or closures

Requirements

  • We are looking for people who are strategic, data-driven leaders with a strong bias for action, capable of influencing across functions and driving transformation in complex environments. If this is you, get in touch.

  • As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehousing or distribution operations

  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations across North America

  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale cost, service, and transformation initiatives

  • Strong experience with LEAN, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence

  • Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar)

  • Experience with 3PL governance and contract management

  • Exposure to warehouse automation, WMS implementations, or digital transformation
