About the role

The Senior Manager, Total Rewards, Latin America will play a key leadership role in developing and executing Carrier’s long-term Total Rewards strategy across Latin America, with a particular focus on Mexico, Brazil, and Chile.

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, Americas Community of Expertise (COE), this role will partner closely with HR and business leaders, Global Total Rewards teams, Global People Services, vendors, and other key stakeholders to develop competitive, scalable, and employee-focused compensation and benefits solutions.

The successful candidate will combine strong Total Rewards expertise with strategic thinking, analytics, and influencing skills to help position Carrier as an employer of choice while supporting our overall business strategy.


Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, Total Rewards, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing the regional Total Rewards strategy to support business goals and position Carrier as an employer of choice within Carrier’s global compensation and rewards framework.
  • Leading the benefits strategy across Latin America by partnering with vendors, brokers, and market intelligence teams to understand local market practices and develop competitive and harmonized benefit offerings by country.
  • Developing compensation and reward strategies for different employee populations using market benchmarking and analysis to ensure alignment with Carrier’s market positioning.
  • Partnering with HR and business leaders on incentive compensation programs, providing tools and guidance while identifying opportunities to simplify and harmonize programs.
  • Leading the regional execution of annual compensation programs, including the annual merit process and global incentive compensation programs, in partnership with Global Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Global People Services, and HR Technology.
  • Providing consultative expertise to HR and business leaders on compensation and benefits program analysis, design, and implementation across diverse businesses and markets.
  • Ensuring Total Rewards programs comply with applicable country requirements while balancing regional consistency with local business needs.
  • Supporting the regional rewards communication strategy, including Carrier’s employee value proposition, to strengthen employee engagement and retention.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify, streamline, and automate Total Rewards processes while improving the employee experience and quality of service.
  • Serving as a change leader for Carrier’s Total Rewards strategy and philosophy, influencing HR and business leaders to adopt simplified processes and drive accountability.
  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures by partnering with HR and key stakeholders to facilitate the integration and transition of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Gathering feedback from internal and external stakeholders and continuously improving COE processes, services, and Total Rewards solutions.


Requirements

We are looking for people who are strategic, analytical, collaborative, customer-focused, and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders across a complex and diverse organization. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Human Resources and/or Total Rewards experience, including demonstrated experience managing benefits across Latin America, particularly Mexico, Brazil, and Chile.
  • Demonstrated Total Rewards expertise with experience influencing senior stakeholders across diverse businesses, industries, locations, and employee populations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to balance business requirements, employee needs, cost considerations, and execution.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of an organization, including executive leadership.
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Portuguese language proficiency.
  • Experience using Workday.
  • Professional HR or Total Rewards certification such as CCP, GRP, SPHR, GPHR, or equivalent.
