About the role

As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient planning and execution of MRP purchasing activities to support uninterrupted production. This role directly impacts material availability, operational continuity, and cost efficiency, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Buyer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Placing purchase orders on time to ensure continuous material supply

  • Monitoring supplier performance through KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD)

  • Managing shortages and leading expediting activities to mitigate supply risks

  • Resolving discrepancies in purchase orders, including hold invoices

  • Ensuring material coverage across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons

  • Controlling inventory levels to balance availability and cost efficiency

  • Maintaining and updating exception reports (pull-in, push-out, cancellations)

  • Managing Engineering Changes (ECNs) and supporting NPI projects

  • Leading phase-in / phase-out initiatives for materials

  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies

  • Maintaining strong communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Requirements

We are looking for proactive, analytical, and results-driven professionals with a strong sense of urgency. If this is you, we encourage you to apply.

As a minimum, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, MRP, or supply chain

  • Advanced English level

  • Experience with SAP (purchasing module)

  • Knowledge of engineering changes (ECNs) and phase-in / phase-out processes

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience in manufacturing environments

  • Knowledge of inventory and materials planning

  • Experience in continuous improvement or cost reduction initiatives
