About the role
Seasoned Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of responsibility. May managed Quality Engineering processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the NPD Quality lead for the Heat Exchangers, Valves & Tubing CIPT area, including heat exchangers, valves, tubing, brazing, welding and leak testing.
- Provide end-to-end Quality ownership for the assigned area from early product development through production launch and transition to sustaining Quality.
- Drive Quality activities across design reviews, APQP, Passport reviews, prototype and MCS builds, PPAP readiness and production launch.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and other cross-functional teams to identify risks and drive open Quality actions to closure.
- Drive Quality readiness for brazing, welding, leak testing, inspection and other applicable manufacturing processes.
- Review FPY, defects, test failures, rework and other build data to identify issues and support corrective action.
- Track Quality readiness and open risks for assigned programs and communicate gaps to the CIPT and program teams.
- Apply lessons learned and Look Across from existing products and programs to help prevent repeat issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience supporting Quality, manufacturing, engineering or new product development activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC and structured problem-solving methods.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and product requirements.
- Experience with heat exchangers, valves, tubing, brazing, welding, leak testing or similar manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
