About the Role

The Engineering Services Specialist supports Carrier Design Engineering teams across Mexico and the United States by facilitating engineering changes and maintaining product documentation within the Windchill Product Data Management (PDM) system. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, specifications, and product records while enabling efficient engineering change management processes that support business and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Services Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Creating and processing engineering change documentation within the Windchill PDM system.

  • Updating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, specifications, and related product documentation.

  • Interpreting engineering markups, technical instructions, customer requirements, and change requests to accurately implement design changes.

  • Managing part creation, revision control, drawing modifications, and BOM updates throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Determining implementation plans for change requests and routing tasks to appropriate stakeholders through Windchill workflows.

  • Communicating regularly with engineering teams and key stakeholders regarding open actions, document status, and change implementation progress.

  • Monitoring engineering change metrics and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintaining team databases, records, and reporting metrics.

  • Creating Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) and drawings for control box components and control boards.

  • Supporting special projects and process improvement initiatives that enhance team effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and customer-focused. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting engineering documentation, engineering change management, product data management (PDM), or related engineering processes.

  • Experience working with engineering documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and configuration management processes.

  • Understanding of engineering documentation and engineering change management processes.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal formats across a diverse audience.

  • Advanced English communication skills.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with Windchill PDM.

  • Experience creating or modifying engineering drawings using CAD or similar software.

  • Knowledge of AVL management and product lifecycle management processes.
