Summary:

Looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Librarian and Layout Design Engineer with a strong background in Altium Designer Pro and Cadence Allegro. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with schematic symbol creation, PCB footprint creation, library management and PCB design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain PCB footprints and schematic symbols in compliance with IEEE standards for symbols and IPC standards for PCB footprints.

• Transition symbol and footprint libraries from Cadence Allegro, Pads, Zuken to Altium Designer, ensuring integrity of the translated symbols and footprints.

• Develop and manage Altium Designer libraries, ensuring accuracy and consistency across designs.

• Ensure that library components meet company and industry standards for manufacturability and reliability.

• Create or develop process for library management in Altium Designer

• Provide support to engineers and designers by ensuring that the latest and most accurate libraries are accessible for design work.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand library requirements and assist in the creation of custom libraries for unique components.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

• 8-12 years of experience in library management and PCB Design.

• Proficiency in Altium Designer pro is a must.

• Strong understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other PCB design tools (e.g., OrCAD, Allegro, Pads, Mentor Graphics, Zuken).

• Familiarity with IPC standards and guidelines.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Certification in PCB design or related fields.
