About the role

Responsible for AHU design from scratch, Key component selections, Bill of materials, Fabrication drawings & Panel layout.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for AHU design from scratch, Key component selections, Bill of materials, Fabrication drawings & Panel layout.

• HVAC system design, simulations and Heat transfer calculations, AHU & Data centre products design etc

• Knowledge of Eurovent, AHRI and other international standards.

• Testing and qualification of AHU, Factory witness test

• Understanding of DFMEA, SFMEA, Key failures and ability to con‐duct RRCA.

• Customer interface for any technical discussion, addressing design change or production / site related issues.

• Knowledge of AHU selling tool development and the inputs.

• Compliance & Documentation: Generate data sheets, compliance statements, and material submittals matching industry codes.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Bachelors / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

4-8 years in Design/R&D and Development of Airside products (AHU/FCU/FWU/CRAH)

Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:

• Understand HVAC and good knowledge on Airside products like Air Handling Units / Fan coil units / Fan wall units / CRAH etc.

• Proficiency in psychometrics, heat load analysis, AutoCAD, and AHU selection tools.

• Basic understanding on the Airside products requirements and applicable standards.

• Knowledge about Eurovent and AHRI certification

• Conduct thermal load calculations, airflow analysis, and capacity assessments to optimize mechanical system performance.

• VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering) and product costing, should costing analysis

• Design and drawing review, review designs/ drawings and prepare Bills of Materials. 

• Tracks and follow-up of all projects and provide status updates regularly.

• Product Innovation – identify relevant trends in products and initiate actions.

• Engage with other cross functional team for execution of the projects.

• Adherence to project time schedule, risk identification & mitigation.

• Maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, as-built drawings and maintenance manuals.

Desirable Competencies/ Secondary Skill Set:

• Good understanding of the manufacturing process & quality control knowledge

• HVAC products related codes & Standards and expert in compliance process

• Experience on ProE/AutoCAD

• Customer interface for any technical discussion.

• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

Minimum Requirements
Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience
Practical knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
University Degree or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
