Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Design Services execution across multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
• Provide technical and execution oversight for complex product development activities.
• Support workload balancing and resource planning across multiple project teams.
• Create, manage, and maintain Design Services schedules and execution plans for complex programs.
• Identify execution risks, schedule concerns, and resource constraints and proactively implement mitigation plans.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex design, documentation, release, and execution issues.
• Lead complex technical discussions and design reviews involving multiple stakeholders.
• Resolve complex design and integration issues in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, drafting practices, Design Services procedures, and product development process requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for advanced Creo methodologies, Windchill workflows, release processes, and design execution practices.
• Mentor and develop Design Leads, Lead Designers, and Designers.
• Support onboarding and development of technical personnel.
• Provide coaching, technical guidance, and career development support within the Design Services organization.
• Identify organizational capability gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
• Develop and improve Design Services standards, procedures, process manuals, and best practices.
• Drive consistency in design execution, release readiness, and quality expectations across projects.
• Support workforce planning, resource allocation, and execution strategy development.
• Influence cross-functional teams to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and drive execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
• Accountable for design execution effectiveness, technical quality, and delivery across assigned programs and initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership without direct administrative people-management responsibility.
• Travel up to 10%.

Required Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 7+ years of product design experience in an engineering environment
• 5+ years of experience with PLM workflows and release processes.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology.

• 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Experience with top-down design methodologies.
• Experience with sheet metal design and documentation.
• Experience coordinating and reviewing work from offshore design resources.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability principles.
• Experience leading complex New Product Development programs.
• Experience mentoring Design Leads and technical leaders.
• Experience establishing engineering standards and operating procedures.
• Experience balancing resources across multiple projects and programs.
• Experience supporting engineering management with execution planning and organizational initiatives.
• Experience in the HVAC industry.
• Industrial Machine Design experience.
• Six Sigma Certification
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple development programs simultaneously.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing technical personnel.
• Experience developing engineering procedures, standards, process manuals, or standard work.
• Experience influencing execution across organizations without direct authority.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal management oversight.
• Willing and able to work occasional evenings or early mornings based on global team needs and project requirements.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
