About This role
The Part-time Operations and Maintenance Specialist is responsible for assisting our existing team members with the development of O&M projects, budgets, and refining budgetary tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with the Development, implementation & management of Operations, Maintenance, Repair & Replacement (OMR&R) activities, to include:
- Development of OMR&R contracts and subcontracts (Long Tern Service Agreements) and associated budgets.
- Equipment life-cycle analysis utilizing preventative, predictive, proactive and reactive maintenance programs including setup of CMMS software to manage and track all activities
- Assist with and support Design, Construction, Commissioning, M&V and OMR&R reviews for Federal and private sector ESPC, UESC, & P3 projects.
- Development of O&M projects, budgets, and refining budgetary tools and processes
- Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, trend analysis & training for Central Utility Plants, Automated Controls, Facilities equipment, Renewable Energy Systems, Steam Distribution, Electrical Distribution, and support systems.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 10+ years of hands-on and leadership experience overseeing the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and lifecycle management of complex facility systems (HVAC, central plants, electrical distribution, controls, and power generation), including DDC/PLC programming and compliance with NFPA, OSHA, UL, and ANSI standards.
- 10+ years of experience developing, negotiating, implementing, and managing long-term service contracts for complex facility systems included in ESPC and P3 projects across Federal, State, Municipal, and commercial sectors.
- 10+ years of experience performing facility condition assessments, reviewing energy conservation measures, Measurement & Verification audits, and root cause failure analysis.
- 10+ years of experience developing cost models, forecasting OMR&R and capital expenses, and leveraging advanced Excel tools for data analysis, trend evaluation, and predictive maintenance planning for complex facility systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Practical knowledge of power and steam generation
- Experience with water/waste water plant design and operation
- Experience with operating and/or maintaining power generation equipment and facilities
- Experience with water chemistry control
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.Other Compensation
