About this role

Carrier Commercial HVAC in Charlotte is looking for a Shipping Auditor to be responsible for auditing the water-cooled and air-cooled units that will be shipping by truck with finished goods to customers.

The Shipping Auditor is responsible to audit all departing products from the Carrier Charlotte factory. Confirm that all loads are correct per unit model; serial number and verify that truckers secure loads properly.

This role requires availability to work long hours and weekends, when necessary, and will qualify for overtime compensation. The Shipping Auditor will spend 50% or more of their workday outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit all loads departing the factory, ensure correct unit models, serial numbers, and accessories part numbers and quantities
• Confirm loads are properly secured to prevent damage
• Finalize drivers documents at final loading, take pictures and file them electronically
• Perform Pre - and Final audits of loads before departure  
• Provide Security Team with the Final audit documentation (Pick Tickets)
• Obtain the drivers signature on the Bill of Lading (BOLs)
• Close shipments in SAP and in MS Xcel Daily Trucks Load Tracker
• File documentation related to i.e., shipments and BOLs
• Provide Pick Tickets to Shipping Technicians
• Retrieve documents or pictures as per request
• Maintain 5S standard in all work areas
• Add/Input data into MS Xcel Daily Trucks Load Tracker for day-to-day loads
• Perform Cycle Counts when requested
• Maintain reports, charts and collect requested data

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 years plus of shipping experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• 1 year plus of experience in MS Office tools
• Work outdoors in different types of weather 50% of the time
• Perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, squatting, and climbing

Preferred Qualifications

• Work experience with SAP
• Work in cross-functional teams
• Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Excel
