About the Role:
Experienced Data Science & Analytics professional. Creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may be applied to various areas of the business (e.g., Market Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing/Advertising, Scientific Research, etc.)
Primary responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that meet performance standards and business requirements
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to extract actionable insights and drive data-informed decision-making
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of AI models in production, implementing improvements and updates as needed
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure efficient data pipelines and high-quality datasets for model training and evaluation
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and data science, incorporating cutting-edge techniques and technologies into projects
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for the data science team
- Work closely with the MLOps team to ensure smooth deployment and integration of models into production environments
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation, including model specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile development process
Experience and Skills Required:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience in applied data science or machine learning roles
- Strong proficiency in Python and its data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Extensive experience with machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing
- Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, experimental design, and A/B testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex business problems into data science solutions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and ethical considerations in AI development
- Experience mentoring junior data scientists and contributing to team growth
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
