If you are looking for a role that combines your technical skills and passion for energy and the environment, then we have a great opportunity for you.  We are seeking a results-oriented, hands-on, problem-solving Carrier Energy Commercial Operations Intern to contribute to our continued legacy of innovation.  In this role, you’ll help bring battery-enabled heat pump solutions to market through real-world utility pilot programs—directly contributing to decarbonization and grid innovation.

About This Role

As a Carrier Energy Commercial Operations Intern, you will work closely with Engineering, Digital, Supply Chain, Channel, Sales and Product Strategy teams in the Day 1 launch of the Carrier Energy Battery enabled Heat Pumps with Utility Programs. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations, you will be crucial to Carrier Energy’s successful commercial launch. You will manage project plans and the execution of Fleet Management activities and documenting processes, systems and tools. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and is customer focused. You will work on solving increasingly complex problems. This is a cross-functional commercial operations role with strong exposure to engineering, energy programs, and go-to-market execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the successful launch and operation of utility pilots programs with Sales Teams from Program Readiness to “Go Live”.

  • Coordinate the development of a Project Plans for Utility Program launches

  • Support the creation of the Carrier Operations Fleet Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

  • Help the teams problem solve issues and build mitigation plans using Process Improvement tools and techniques

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with Stakeholders, weekly reports and actions plan

  • Communicate and document the status and details of the project to the internal team and leadership reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science

  • 3.0 GPA or higher.

  • Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US without sponsorship

  • Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Team player with a positive attitude. 

  • Competency with Microsoft software including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel. 

  • Competent verbal and written communicator.

  • Aptitude for translating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.  

  • Able to balance multiple concurrent priorities. 

  • Aptitude for problem solving.  

  • Time management skills including the ability to estimate time required to complete tasks and deliver on the committed timeline. 

  • Ability to report to assigned work location reliably. 

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is $ 36,750–$127,500.
