About the Role
As the Facilities Manager, you will lead all facilities and infrastructure operations for the manufacturing site, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective management of plant utilities, maintenance programs, building infrastructure, and capital projects. You will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations through facility expansions, infrastructure improvements, regulatory compliance, and continuous operational excellence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mgr, Facilities, you'll be responsible for:
Leading facilities operations, maintenance programs, and infrastructure systems across the manufacturing site.
Ensuring uninterrupted operation of critical plant utilities, including electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration, helium consumption systems, and fire protection systems.
Managing facility infrastructure projects, plant expansions, renovations, and installation of new manufacturing equipment and production lines.
Overseeing contractor performance and outsourced facility management services.
Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, safety requirements, environmental standards, and business continuity plans.
Driving capital projects focused on operational efficiency, facility reliability, and business growth.
Partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to support manufacturing objectives.
Managing infrastructure modifications and site improvements while maintaining uninterrupted plant operations.
Supporting risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and fire protection initiatives.
Requirements
We are looking for people who are technical, proactive, results-oriented, and capable of leading complex facility operations within a manufacturing environment.
As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Management, Plant Engineering, Infrastructure, or Maintenance Operations within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air systems, utilities management, and fire protection systems.
Experience leading infrastructure projects, facility expansions, equipment installations, or production line implementations.
Knowledge of Mexican regulatory requirements, including STPS regulations and safety standards.
Experience managing contractors, external service providers, and facility-related contracts.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to support constant infrastructure changes, production line modifications, and facility improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Advanced English proficiency.
Experience with refrigeration systems, refrigerant recovery equipment, helium consumption systems, and industrial utility infrastructure.
Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing sites and capital investment projects.
Certification or additional training in facilities, maintenance, project management, or safety management.
