About This Role:

Carrier Commercial Services has an opening for an experienced HVAC Commercial Area Operations Manager for our Central Area (Indiana, St Louis, Louisville, and Cincinnati). This position has profit & loss responsibility for an HVAC multi-million-dollar revenue responsibility. It is responsible for growing the market share of the Carrier Commercial Services business in focus areas through new business development working in conjunction with the sales organization. Products and services include Repair Service, Maintenance Contracts, and modernization projects. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, including a detailed understanding of the technical sales process and operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Operations team in execution of sales commitments and work orders
• Partner with sales organization to develop and execute strategic plan to drive market growth in assigned area based on revenue and EBIT plans for the area
• Accountable for technician productivity, order completion, connecting digital assets and customer retention.
• Maintain client relationships based on professional credibility and product knowledge
• Identify and participate in industry organizations, trade shows, and events to promote the company, products, and services.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations
• Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance against plan
• Maintain culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Ensure customer satisfaction by on-time performance and delivery to customer commitments

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years’ experience in Operations Leadership
• 3+ years’ P&L experience
• 4+ years’ of team leadership
• Ability to travel over the following areas: St Louis, Louisville, and/or Indianapolis 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military experience is highly encouraged to apply
• HVAC Experience. Willingness to learn and think outside the box.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce & SAP – required or preferred
• Customer-centric mindset
• Proactive and able to balance multiple priorities
• Able to build strong relationships across industries and functions
• Excellent communicator – oral, written, etc.
• Competent understanding of financial and accounting principles
