We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive our growth and expand our presence in the EMEA hospitality sector.

Summary of the role
As a Business Development Manager for Energy Management in the hotel industry at Onity, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to promote our energy management solutions to hotels, resorts, and other accommodation providers across the EMEA region.
You will work closely with key stakeholders, including hotel chains, property management companies, and technology partners, to drive adoption of our smart thermostat solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential opportunities within the hotel industry.
- Develop a comprehensive business development strategy lored to the unique needs of the hospitality industry.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and engage with potential clients, nurturing relationships and understanding their specific requirements for smart thermostat solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, operators, and decision-makers.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Lead the sales process, driving revenue growth from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals by effectively selling our energy management systems.
Product Knowledge and Presentation:
- Stay up-to-date with our energy management systems and technologies, and effectively communicate their unique benefits to potential clients.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of our solutions.
Customer Support:
- Ensure exceptional post-sale support and client satisfaction, maintaining long-term relationships.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective pre- and post-sales support to clients.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Update on market trends and competitive insights to the executive team
Sustainability Advocacy:
- Promote the environmental benefits of our energy management systems and advocate for sustainability within the hotel industry.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and smart thermostat technology.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, experience in the hospitality sector would be a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with unyielding ethical standards.
- Strong open minded team player.
- User-level computing skills.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks.
- Willing and able to travel 50% of the time.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
- Full professional proficiency in English, Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
