The role
The Director – National Sales is responsible for leading and executing the national sales strategy for Carrier Transicold Australia. This role drives revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction across all product lines and services. It includes full accountability for end-to-end sales operations, from demand forecasting and inventory planning to customer delivery and after-sales support
Key responsibilities
We are looking for a strategic, customer-centric National Sales Director with the ability to deliver an exceptional experience for both our internal teams and our customers in the field. In this role, you will:
Lead and execute the national sales strategy to drive growth and achieve Carrier Transicold Australia’s business objectives
Identify and capture new market opportunities through strong commercial and market insight
Manage end-to-end sales operations, including demand forecasting, inventory alignment and order fulfilment
Lead, coach and performance-manage the national sales team to consistently exceed targets
Build and maintain strategic customer and partner relationships to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
Provide market intelligence, forecasting and reporting to support data-driven decision making and executive leadership
Requirements:
To be successful in this opportunity as a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing or a related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification highly regarded
10+ years’ senior sales leadership experience, ideally within transport refrigeration, fleet, cold chain, HVAC-R or heavy equipment industries
Proven ability to lead and scale a national sales organisation across truck, trailer and container refrigeration markets
Strong commercial and channel management capability, including dealers, fleet customers, OEMs and key national accounts
Expertise in demand forecasting, inventory planning and aftermarket alignment to support uptime, serviceability and profitable growth
Demonstrated success in driving parts, service and lifecycle revenue alongside new unit sales
Outstanding executive-level communication, negotiation and relationship management skills across large fleet operators and strategic partners
Strategic, performance-driven leader able to translate market, cold-chain and fleet insights into winning sales strategies
