About the role

As a Specialist in Commodity Management & Sourcing, you'll manage direct purchases from metal suppliers such as copper, aluminum, and valves. Your role is key in driving cost reductions and ensuring efficient procurement processes, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities: As a Specialist in Commodity Management & Sourcing, you’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
• Managing supplier relationships to ensure performance and compliance.
• Analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in metals (copper and aluminum) category.
• 3 a 5+ years of experience in category management and/or supply chain.
• Advanced english level.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• Master’s Degree in business management, engineering or supply chain management
• Strong negotiation skill
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Cost reduction project leadership experience in a related environment
• Technical acumen / understanding of commodity management and ability to quickly learn products and industry
• Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural suppliers on technical and logistics issues
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills
• Team player and influencing skills required to establish and sustain a lean culture
