About the role
As a Specialist in Commodity Management & Sourcing, you'll manage direct purchases from metal suppliers such as copper, aluminum, and valves. Your role is key in driving cost reductions and ensuring efficient procurement processes, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities: As a Specialist in Commodity Management & Sourcing, you’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure performance and compliance.
- Analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in metals (copper and aluminum) category.
- 3 a 5+ years of experience in category management and/or supply chain.
- Advanced english level.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Master’s Degree in business management, engineering or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation skill
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Cost reduction project leadership experience in a related environment
- Technical acumen / understanding of commodity management and ability to quickly learn products and industry
- Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural suppliers on technical and logistics issues
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills
- Team player and influencing skills required to establish and sustain a lean culture
