About the role

Experienced professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Supply Chain Management, specifically within the Packaging commodity. Manages moderately sized projects for supply chain management, achieving day-to-day objectives with significant impact on Supply Chain strategies and operational goals. Responsible for significant improvements to supply chain management processes and systems. Influences other functions/vendors to support Supply Chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Commodity Manager - Packaging Commodity Focus, you’ll be responsible for:

• Manage suppliers and their performance to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality.

• Create local, regional, and global savings opportunities.

• Support the delivery of working capital and creditor targets.

• Ensure control and proper responsibility for expenditure of company funds.

• Develop and implement business procurement strategies for assigned services, consistent with global or local procurement plans.

• Negotiate agreements with suppliers for services within the value of spend.

• Establish project management discipline for identifying and tracking tasks, resources, milestones, and measures for projects.

• Communicate with key stakeholders on projects to ensure mutual understanding of objectives and priorities.

• Execute key elements of Supply Chain plans in terms of operations, specific interventions, related costs, and timelines, in line with organizational strategy.

• Identify gaps in processes related to supply chain; conduct root cause analysis and identify strategies to build the gaps. Implement identified processes to closure.

• Gather inputs on prices of different raw materials from primary and secondary sources; support identification of opportunities for outsourcing and cost reduction.

• Implement guidelines on vendor management.

• Adhere to import, export, and excise regulations as per compliance.

• Manage planning and warehousing processes for order and procurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or with supplier negotiations, specifically within the Packaging commodity.

• Advanced English proficiency.

• Availability to travel (10-20% of the time, including Monterrey area, USA, and Asia).

• Valid Visa and Passport for international travel.

• SAP ERP system knowledge.

• Experience with global procurement strategies.

• Strong project management skills.
