About the role

The role is part of SLD Pumps & Power (Carrier's company) which is one of the UK's leading suppliers of pumps and generator rental equipment. The main goal of this role is to increase the level of rentals and sales of SLD Pumps & Power equipment within the designated UK markets, from a major account customer spend profile.

Requirements:

To be successful in the role, you should have:

• Previous sales experience in Rental / Plant Hire Sector – required
• Knowledge of Pump & Power industry 
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven Field Sales experience
• Proven National Account Sales experience
• Ability to read financial information
• Good command of MS Office & CRM
• Customer focus
• Result driven attitude
• Very good organizational skills
• Flexibility with a willingness to travel
• Great communication skills
• UK driving license

As a Major Account Manager , you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating and managing the sales function of Major Accounts in the designated UK markets;
• Increasing the level of awareness of customers of SLD Pumps & Power and associated companies within UK markets;
• Developing existing customer relations, creating and establishing a new network of additional customers;
• Increasing the sale and rental revenue for SLD Pumps & Power in the designated UK markets;
• Marketing the products of services of SLD Pumps & Power and associated companies.
• Providing regular reports on customer enquiries, hires and sales in the designated UK markets.
• Assisting the Depots in the designated UK markets to increase overall performance.
• Assisting in the collection of payments due for services provided in the designated UK markets.
• Liaising and work effectively with the Company’s operations managements teams;
• Assisting with the free movement of equipment among all Depots (nationally);
• Maintaining a close connection with all Depots in remit;
