About this position

This position oversees the operational functions of the Distribution Center and provides leadership and direction to the DC associates, ensuring all business objectives are achieved. You will be responsible for planning and allocating resources and materials for the maximum utilization of facilities and personnel to ensure the smooth flow of finished goods from the supplier to the customer.
The role requires the ability to identify and remove obstacles, seek opportunities for improvement, and possess strong attention to detail to drive positive business results. It is essential to work with the highest levels of integrity. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader who can leverage best practices within the business to set direction and drive change through transparency, communication, and execution.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive a customer focused culture to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.
• Lead DC associates to focus on customer service and warehouse efficiency while minimizing product damage.
• Collaborate with continuous improvement team(s) on lean processes.
• Apply continuous improvement tools to identify and eliminate the root causes of issues that may arise within the warehouse.
• Participate in teams, committees, events and training that improve the organization.
• Sustain operations, forecast attainment, and KPIs.
• Enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by monitoring safety procedures and protocols.
• Assist DC manager with scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot WMS technology issues and RF scanner functionality.
• Open to working across multiple shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years’ experience in Warehousing.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisor or a management role.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a history of influencing multiple levels of the organization
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and anticipate needs.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Excellent skills in Ms-Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Additional Comments

• This is a Distribution Center, unionized facility with approximately 60 hourly employees.
