About the role
We are currently recruiting for Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the depot, including purchase orders and workshop support. Operations Supervisor will ensure Health & Safety compliance, efficient equipment maintenance, and a well-organized workforce.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operational needs of the depot.
- Coordinating, prioritizing, and resolving team issues efficiently.
- Optimizing manpower, time, equipment, and energy usage.
- Escalating critical issues that impact business operations.
- Managing the team in line with established programs and objectives.
- Handling quality issue management.
- Contacting customers, gathering feedback, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Responding to complaints and conducting satisfaction investigations to drive improvements.
- Leading on aspects of H&S by setting an example.
- Working closely with the Depot Manager to address issues promptly and promote open communication.
- Collaborating with the sales team and operational management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in managing a small team - ideally in Plant Hire industry
- Relevant Mechanical experience, ideally with pumps or generators
- Supervisory skills
- Excellent IT Skills (Word, Excel)
- Time Management
- Administration Skills
- UK driving license
