About This Role:
At Carrier, we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager for Supply Chain Risk Management to join our corporate center of excellence team to develop, implement, and maintain our global supplier risk management program, and develop and implement comprehensive strategies that align with the organization’s goals. By overseeing the development and implementation of supply chain risk management initiatives, the senior manager not only addresses regulatory compliance due diligence and reporting requirements, but also works towards enhancing the company’s reputation and engagement with stakeholders. Additionally, this position will be directly responsible for a key sub-process to this program; to screen our global supply chain for forced labor, conduct necessary due diligence, and drive remediation of violations to ensure goods purchased were not mined, produced or manufactured, wholly or in part, with prohibited forms of labor.
Job Description:
Supplier Risk Management
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop predictive risk management practices and ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
Develop and implement risk management strategies and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks within the global supply chain.
Define effective policies, procedures, and controls to drive global consistency and approach in the interpretation and use of supplier risk profiles.
Integrate new or existing supplier risk related processes into a common supplier risk profile dashboard reflecting risk indicators such as strategic, financial, geopolitical, capacity, ESG, cybersecurity, forced labor, operational performance, and compliance.
Identify and implement a process for visibility of risks to sub-tiers for key material categories.
Collaborate with sourcing managers to embed risk management solutions into sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management and contracting activities.
Establish a standard risk assessment process to pre-qualify suppliers.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to supply chain risk to senior management.
Child labor, Forced Labor & Human Trafficking Screening
Keys to success in this role will include proactive measures to manage risk and using automation and AI digital tools to identify, verify, or defend allegations of forced labor in our supply chain.
Track and monitor global suppliers for potential human rights violations using digital solutions.
Conduct due diligence to assess suppliers based on risk profile, screening red flags, and other factors indicating potential violations.
Coordinate with stakeholders for an effective remediation plan if forced labor is detected in the supply chain.
Work with International Trade Compliance – Customs Counsel, to respond to enforcement actions, such as US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Withhold Release Orders, or other similar actions brought by customs agencies in other jurisdictions.
Maintain awareness of and impact of emerging regulatory requirements globally, identify strategies/recommendations, and integrate solutions back into appropriate business processes and digital solutions.
Support regulatory reporting requirements related to responsible sourcing, forced labor screening practices and findings.
Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends and best practices in supply chain risk management for screening of forced labor and human rights violations.
Develop and conduct training and educational programs to increase awareness and indicators of risk for forced labor in our supplier operations.
Develop standard work to operationalize the forced labor risk screening elements of the program.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of experience in supply chain risk management
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields
Advanced degree or certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) or MBA beneficial
Experience in supply chain related disciplines. Supply Chain Expertise: A deep understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and procurement practices is essential. This includes knowledge of supplier selection, risk assessment, lifecycle analysis, and supply chain mapping
Familiarity with material categories, including motors, compressors, electronics, metal and metal fabrication is helpful
Experience developing and implementing risk management solutions; AI multi-tier supply chain mapping to screen for forced labor in the supply chain in response to complying with the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) strongly desired
Proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills working with complex data required
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross functional organization with excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Data Analysis and Reporting: Competence in data analysis and reporting is necessary to measure and monitor key sustainability performance indicators. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, sustainability management software, and data visualization platforms is beneficial

The annual salary for this position is between $146,750–$205,250. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject toplanrequirements.
