Job Description:

Carrier Commercial Service is currently accepting applications for a Journeyperson to work with the Edmonton, Alberta Service Team to support the light and heavy applied HVACR service market segments in Commercial and Industrial buildings.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive professional customer relations.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to work with Chillers and other HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment to providing exceptional proactive maintenance and repair services.
• Comfortable with Centrifugal, Scroll equipment, multiple technologies, controls, and VSD systems.
• Support Carrier Factory (OEM) Field Mechanical Services for Startup and Warranty.
• Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems; Develop and implement solutions to prevent future occurrence
• Confident identifying, estimating and quoting repair and upgrade solutions to extend equipment life and save energy.
• Comply and re-enforce Environment, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

Educational /Technical Requirements

• Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, Certified Journeyman HVACR Technician
• Gas B Ticket
• Licensed refrigeration (ODP) mechanic
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient with various software tools and laptop (MS Office, Outlook, Excel) and handheld devices (iPhone)

• Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships and with a strong client service orientation
• Team player with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and customer commitments
• Positive outlook.  Proven analytical and diagnostic skills
• Building Automation System HVAC DDC system experience with proven problem solving capabilities.
• Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
