Autronica Fire & Security AS has now a fantastic opportunity for you to join our organization as a Sales Engineer for Gas Sampling Systems. In this role you are going to be part of a diverse, international environment operating in the Oil&Gas and Petrochemical segment. You will be responsible for selling Gas Sampling Systems to our customers worldwide, mainly yards building various floating O&G installations. Our customers are all the largest O&G companies. Preferred location for this position is Tønsberg, Norway.
Your main responsibilities will be
As a Sales Engineer you will together with our worldwide sales team build and maintain strong relationship with our customers by influencing, reinforcing quality, continuous innovation and solution selling on a high technical level. You will be a central part of clarification meetings with our customers and will work close with customers in technical bid evaluations and take part in contract negotiations. Due to our engagement in global time zones some of the meetings may occur outside normal working hours.
- Work out solutions and proposals based on RFQ’s, and related technical specifications received from our customers and preparation of order details for received purchase orders.
- Calculate cost and create bid related documents and project specific system layout drawing in CAD.
- Be responsible to follow up each contract with our project department and always work to secure timely deliveries.
- Emphasize contractual obligations, requirement for quality assurance and other specified requirements.
- Regular contact with sub suppliers for price negotiations and/or technical clarifications.
- After the project is finalized, do an in-depth analysis of actual cost and calculated cost.
Qualifications we are looking for
We are looking for a Specialist who pays attention to detail and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or higher in mechanical, electrical engineering or other relevant field.
- A good technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in sales or from other customer-facing role preferably from the offshore or maritime market.
- Strong communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Norwegian is an advantage.
- Experience with CAD software and ERP/CRM software.
