KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  
• Provides local tactical support for NA Ductless & VRF Sourced Products focusing on contract negotiation, cost reduction programs, quality, on time delivery, warranty, new product development and purchase order maintenance.
• Acts as the local key point of contact and subject matter expert for all product and supplier relationships in this category.
• Assists with managing multiple supplier relationships including buy/resale, contract manufacturers, JV partners i.e. Midea and Internal Carrier divisions thru strategic planning, product roadmaps, and requests for quotes (RFQs).
• Assists with managing product supply chain related activities including SAP updates, forecasting, purchase orders, receipts and scheduling.  Drives supply chain collaboration on global platforms to optimize total cost of ownership.
• Ensures all purchasing processes are properly executed and program milestones are tracked and met.  Achieves all supply chain targets and priorities for the program.
• Conducts high-impact supplier visits.  Support the quality team’s efforts in qualifying supplier facilities (ISO, Q+) and production parts (PPAP, FAI, ProCert).
• Delivers high quality presentation in senior management and program meetings.
• Understands and provides guidance as a subject matter authority in supply chain, purchasing and materials management activities.
• Supports inventory planning and vendor purchasing through SAP for Asian Ductless & VRF products.
• Manages Private label direct ship program maintenance including order placement, tracking, and customer communication.
• Collaborate with joint venture partner through weekly meetings, and site visits
• Identifies and communicates defective or unacceptable goods, services, paperwork with appropriate parties and participates in recommending corrective actions.
• Evaluates and enhances supply chain and logistics to increase performance and productivity.
• Performs monthly Supply Chain Scorecard analyzation, updates and reporting.
• Maintains supply chain turn-backs tracker and resolves supply chain issues.
• Supports the new product launch process by developing phase in phase out plans with the product manager and demand planners.
• Monitors and work with joint venture partner to correct any invoice and packing list discrepancies.
• Performs ad-hoc supply chain analysis for sales, finance, and management

TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing. Engineering, Business, Marketing, Operations Logistics or related field with 10+ years of experience
• MBA/MS degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field experience preferred with 7+ years of experience

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 5 years of related supply chain experience with emphasis on forecasting, planning and inventory management
• Strong working knowledge of SAP or other comparable ERP system is required
• Supply chain experience dealing with Asian manufacturers is highly desirable
• CTPAT knowledge and global transportation experience is highly desirable
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
• Passion for servicing customers.  Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations
• Demonstrates self-initiative, sense of ownership, quality, and customer satisfaction orientation
• Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset
• Strong ability to work in diverse, cross functional, global project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required
• Data analysis and visualization experience (Tableau or Power BI preferred)
• Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
