About the Role
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining manufacturing processes, standards, and systems to support production readiness, efficiency, and quality. This role plays a key part in line design, capacity definition, MES implementation, and standardization activities, supporting MCS, Pilot, and SOP phases.
The position works cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and IT teams, ensuring that processes, layouts, labor models, and systems are robust, scalable, and aligned to production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Standards & Performance
Define, implement, and control standard hours for all assigned product models.
Perform and own time & motion studies, ensuring accurate labor standards and productivity targets.
Develop and maintain product versions and manufacturing codes (Mfg Codes) aligned with engineering changes.
Execute line balancing studies to optimize flow, efficiency, and output.
Process & Layout Engineering
Define and implement manufacturing layouts, ensuring areas are properly marked prior to equipment installation.
Design and implement workstations, ensuring ergonomic compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.
Define and validate services requirements (utilities, IT, air, electrical) for equipment and workstations.
Implement and sustain 5S methodology across assigned production areas.
Quality & Process Control
Create or update PFMEA, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and aligned with process changes.
Develop, update, and control Work Instructions, ensuring clarity, repeatability, and operator compliance.
Create and maintain visual aids to support standard work, quality, and shop floor communication.
MES & Digital Manufacturing
Define and implement MES cascade structures based on process flow and routing logic.
Define, implement, and validate MES stations, ensuring accurate data capture and production traceability.
Support MES testing, debugging, and go‑live activities during Pilot and SOP phases.
Planning, WIP & Resources
Define and control Headcount (HC) requirements based on standard work and production volume.
Define and manage Work In Process (WIP) levels to support flow and inventory targets.
Develop and maintain detailed schedules for industrialization and implementation activities.
Training & Execution Support
Train operators on standard work, work instructions, and process changes.
Provide shop‑floor support during ramp‑up, Pilot, and SOP, ensuring issues are identified and resolved quickly.
Drive execution of industrial improvements with autonomy, escalating risks when required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or operations environments.
Intermediate to advanced English written skills.
Manufacturing standards: standard hours, line balancing, time studies.
Layout design, workstation design, and industrial services definition.
PFMEA, Work Instructions, and visual management.
MES implementation and production systems.
Exposure to NPI, Pilot, and SOP readiness activities.
