About the role

This role will have oversight of Financial Reporting (for both SWISS GAAP and US GAAP) and the Internal Control Environment for a newly created Swiss based legal entity.

This position will ensure that Carrier controllership key objectives are met. This includes delivering accurate SWISS and US GAAP financial statements, ensuring that internal controls are implemented and operating within this newly created control environment and being a key business partner to the respective Finance Business Partner.
Role is based in Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:

• In charge of SWISS and US GAAP and local statutory accounting and tax requirements for a Switzerland based legal entity
• Coordinate and manage the month end closing processes, including preparation of trial balance for HFM submission and reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet fluctuation analysis
• Preparation of account reconciliations
• Annual preparation of statutory financial statements, including management report, statutory to US GAAP reconciliation and coordination of the external audit.
• Create and maintain accounting standard work documentation.
• Implement and maintain a strong internal controls environment in line with Carrier requirements, as well as compliance with local regulations
• Ad-hoc projects as needed
• Follow up of complex and technical topics and new project to implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• Specialized knowledge in both SWISS GAAP and US GAAP accounting, along with a good working knowledge of local Swiss taxes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

• English and German languages a must (Swiss German a plus)
• CPA/CA preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of accounting principles and internal control procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management in both written form and orally
