About this position

We are seeking a Corporate FP&A Specialist to partner with the Research, Development & Engineering (RD&E) leadership team and support critical financial processes, including monthly close and forecasting, annual and long-range planning, variance analysis, KPI tracking and reporting, as well as ad-hoc requests. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and contribute to a team that values continuous improvement while transforming our operating model.

As a key member of the FP&A team, you will work closely with RD&E leadership to deliver accurate, insightful financial analysis and drive process enhancements. We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-performing, fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to change, and consistently delivers meaningful outcomes with integrity and a commitment to quality.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in identifying opportunities for automation and process transformation across the RD&E portfolio to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and standardize reporting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Support in conducting in-depth financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
  • Help oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the engineering function.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
  • Serve as a key support to engineering leaders, providing financial expertise and guidance.
  • Assist in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the function's performance.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Support in identifying and assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in leading initiatives to improve financial reporting, data analysis, and overall financial management.
  • Support functional leaders in managing financial aspects of key projects and initiatives.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to ensure successful project execution.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and support business objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting / business administration / mathematics / or economics, with 3+ years experience in the financial field;
    OR High School Diploma / GED / Associate Degree, with 10+ years experience in the financial field.
  • 3+ years experience with ERP Systems such as SAP, Oracle, or any other similar ERP platform.
  • 3+ years experience with Microsoft Office Tools, with a proficiency level with Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables), as well as PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in handling and analyzing large amounts of data.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong adaptability given occasional tight reporting deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including follow-up and follow-through.
