About the role

Experienced Procurement professional. Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution. Authorizes purchase orders,approvespayments, and responds to client issues to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly

Job Description

• Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.

• Approves and qualifies vendors tofulfillaccount needs.

• Responds to client issues or problems.

• Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.

• Analyzesand reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.

• Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

• Analyzesand monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

• Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.

• Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services.

• Prepares purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.

• Assembles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information for analysis.

• Supports the preparation of request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

• Compiles records of itemspurchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories,analyzesdata and ensures account needs are met.

• Contacts suppliers to schedule orexpeditedeliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.

Requirements

• Executeoperational procurement activitiesin ERP systems (purchase orders, order tracking, invoice verification) for different indirect categories 

• Ensurecontinuous supplyof indirect materials and services for manufacturing and operations 

• Support andmaintaincatalog-based purchasing solutions

• Handle day-to-daysupplier communicationrelated to orders, deliveries, and invoicing 

• SupportCategory Managementwith RFQs, sourcing requests, price negotiations, and supplier analyses 

• Contribute toproject-based sourcing activitiesand contract implementations 

• Act as interface betweenplants, internal stakeholders, and suppliers

• Fluent English 

• Very goodGerman skills / French skills are a plus

• Handle day-to-daysupplier communicationrelated to orders, deliveries, and invoicing 

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience inprocurement / sourcing, preferably in anindustrial or manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding ofoperational purchasing processes

• Exposure tostrategic sourcing or category managementis an advantage 

• Experience in an international, multi-site organization preferred
