About This Role

We are seeking an FP&A Specialist to be the Ops Finance lead for the ALC factory.  The incumbent will gain an understanding of working in a dynamic environment and be part of team who embraces continuous improvement. 

This role is the primary business partner to the ALC Factory team, the ALC Business, and the CHVAC Controllership team.

This role will own the Operations Finance Monthly cadence for the ALC location including: Actuals, Forecasting, Variance Analysis, Financial Modeling, Reporting, Productivity, and Monthly Operations Reviews.  This role will also be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives, ad hoc analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing standard practices.  This role will build on existing frameworks within the role, while also expanding and building out new standard work practices. 

This role will be based in Charlotte, NC and will have a solid line reporting structure to the FP&A Manager.

RESPONSIBLITIIES

  • Lead the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of monthly actual and forecast for ALC Factory, including key operating metrics such as efficiency, materials & factory productivity.
  • Prepare reviews for senior leadership and support leadership presentations.
  • Work closely with the business units to explain monthly variances plan, prior estimate, and prior year.
  • Develop financial models and direct variance analysis for monthly actual and forecasted results (material & factory productivity, inventories, and capital expenditures)
  • Lead development of the annual business plan, support preparation of action plans and recommendations for business and operational decisions.
  • Provide leadership and support for inventory reductions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis, as requested by leadership.
  • Support strategic decision making, such as last time buy and site investments decisions.
  • Actively participate as a business partner with the BUs to measuring actual performance and to provide quality insights to leadership team which will enable more informed decision making.
  • Complete full cycle forecast process on a monthly basis: Labor and Burden, Purchase Variance, Material Variances, Inventory, CAPEX, and supplemental information
  • Enhance existing business processes to ensure efficient and timely reporting of Data
  • Primary finance business partner for Procurement, Operations, Cx, and Quality teams at the ALC Factory
  • Primary finance business partner to the ALC Business and CHAC Controllership teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in FP&A

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft office Excel / SAP ERP implementation / SmartView or any other reporting tool.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills, with a strong commitment to customer service
  • Adaptable, responsive, and goal-oriented, with a desire to learn and be challenged.

  • Highly organized and resourceful, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and consistently deliver objectives within fixed timelines.
