About this role

Experienced Energy Engineer with the decarbonization experience necessary to execute energy/decarbonization projects while being responsible for managing a project team, coordinating scope expectations, developing project deliverables, and maintaining budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead detailed decarbonization and electrification studies and develop strategic plans / roadmaps.
  • Screen and identify decarbonization, electrification and energy savings opportunities for an array of clients.
  • Oversee and instruct personnel completing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reduction and energy savings calculations as well as the associated cost estimates for decarbonization, electrification, and energy measures.
  • Develop content and manage personnel completing decarbonization/energy reports.
  • Actively manage multiple projects, maintain project budgets and ensure client/customer satisfaction.
  • Continually evaluate new and innovative advancements in technology.  Create internal awareness of industry advancements through thought leadership.
  • Participate in client-facing presentations to disseminate the complex solutions and provide roadmap towards implementation.
  • Foster effective and positive business relationships both internally and externally within the industry.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience working in the field of energy, sustainability and/or decarbonization, performing energy auditing, developing project cost estimates and annual energy/cost savings calculations
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years of experience working in the field of energy, sustainability and/or decarbonization, performing energy auditing, developing project cost estimates and annual energy/cost savings calculations
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer's License, or on path to obtaining
  • Industry certifications, including LEED AP certification from US Green Building Certification Institute, CEM/CEA/EBCP/CBCP from Association of Energy Engineers
  • Interest and excitement in the field of decarbonization, electrification and sustainability. 
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong project management, personnel management, and time management skills.
  • Active attendance/participation in professional society meetings, industry events, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships, strong project financial management skills.
  • Retro-commissioning, commissioning, and technical feasibility study experience
  • Working knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC components, systems and distribution, and controls
  • Experience with testing equipment (balometers, anemometers, ultrasonic flow meters, temperature loggers, electrical meters, and others)
  • Business development and market connection for climate & decarbonization services
  • Proficient in MS Office software, especially with complex Excel spreadsheets

Pay Range:

$90,263 - $157,959 Annually
