Summary
This position is for a seasoned professional in Test and Validation, who works independently, measures, analyzes, and calibrates equipment on medium to large platforms/projects/systems. Trains lower level team members. Prepares equipment for complex testing on medium to large platforms, and oversees the preparation of equipment for testing on smaller to medium platforms/projects/systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be a key contributor to the software/firmware design, development and implementation for HVAC product controls software. This position will focus on new development of firmware as well as maintenance of existing applications. This position requires the ability to work under minimal direction in collaboration with a team of engineers to design and develop robust system solutions that meet defined system requirements.
- We’re a collaborative bunch, so you’ll contribute to all phases of the Product Development Life Cycle, from design to implementation, testing, release and sustaining
- You will work closely with Scrum teams to deliver products on time with quality
- You’ll also coordinate with leads to understand and maintain an in-depth understanding of the current and upcoming requirements for proposed releases
- We work in a fast-moving agile set-up, so expect to pitch in with other responsibilities from time to time
- Design and develop new features according to product functional specification and design requirements.
- Able to meet project plans for application development activities of a project; prioritizing work to accomplish demanding changes.
- Ensuring defects are reviewed on a regular basis and resolved in the required timeframe
- Must be aware and able to work in Agile, Incremental development methodology
Job Description:
- Strong knowledge on embedded concepts
- Must have experience in developing solutions on Microcontroller with Linux OS, Embedded C and C++, Strong debugging skills
- Experience on protocols like BACnet, Modbus, Serial Protocols like UART, I2C and SPI
- Hands on experience on Networking TCP/UDP protocols and IPC mechanisms, POSIX Threads, IPC Mechanisms: Semaphore, Mutex,Messages-Q
- Knowledge on Network/Socket programming using UDP/TCP
- Familiar with different version control tools (SVN, Perforce etc), Rally, Confluence etc and software development methodologies like Agile, Waterfall etc.
- Familiar with BTL certification, HVAC concepts.
- Good to have experience on different analog and discrete IO programming.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.
- Passionate about building high-quality systems
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Degree in Computer/Electronics/Communication/Electrical Engineering
(Desired) Masters degree in Computer / Communications Engineering
