About the role

Maintain, service, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and clean Carrier owned HVAC equipment and related products in the workshop and various sites throughout Singapore and across Asia when required. This includes air-cooled and water-cooled systems from 10 RT to 600 RT; various sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, spot coolers.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Specialist Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

• Perform troubleshooting and give recommendations for repairs for chiller and ACMV

• Perform recommended repairs for Screw / Centrifugal chiller and ACMV under service agreement/warranty

• Liaise with customer technicians on maintenance/repair schedule.

• Work closely with subcontractors to perform maintenance works and repair works.

• Perform 24/7 standby duty (rostered) for Screw / Centrifugal complaint and breakdown.

• Ensure safety procedures and conduct during service or repairs.

• Perform monthly routine service for Screw / Centrifugal chiller under service agreement whenever assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

• Nitec, Diploma or Equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3 Years of Commercial HVAC experience.

• HVAC technical certification or HVAC associate degree preferred.

• Proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repair and cleaning HVAC equipment and related products.

• Refrigerant Handling license an advantage – if not to have the ability to obtain TP Certificate within 60 days of hire provided by the company.

• SIC for Construction, Shipyard, Process Plant an advantage.

• Training or experience in EHS & Risk Assessment an advantage. 

• Possess a valid class 3 driver’s license.
