About this role

The Centrifugal Compression Group in Carrier’s Mechanical Center of Excellence is seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the Summer of 2025. The Carrier internship experience offers an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy. You will learn and apply skills in thermodynamics, Design, CAD Modeling, CFD analysis and fluid mechanics. You will grow professionally to become knowledgeable on the design and analysis of turbomachinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering software such as Cero and Ansys, CFX for CAD modeling and simulation.
  • Perform Vapor-cycle refrigeration thermodynamic analysis.
  • Assist and work closely with lab personnel to execute laboratory test plans.
  • Assist in troubleshooting compressor performance and field issues.

Required Qualifications.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Computational Tools and CAD coursework or previous internships preferred.
  • Self-driven and proactive
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.

Pay Range:

$41,000 - $96,450 Annually
