About the role
To our depot based in Livingston we are looking for a Central Stores Person who will be responsible for assisting in all depots to ensure all hires and off-hires are delivered, collected and serviced in a timely and efficient manner, which in turn will improve revenue and customer satisfaction. The role’s aim is also to provide the depot tidy and safe place to work for all employees and visitors.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in the role you should have:
- Experience in the similar position
- Confidence in driving a forklift (ideally possessing a forklift certificate)
- Strong communication
- Good time management and organizing skills
- Ability to cooperate with various teams
As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining detailed service records and records of all parts in the central stores maintaining minimum levels of stock control at all times and replenishing when required.
- Updating inventory management system regularly and share detail with Operational Supervisors.
- Ordering parts from supplier raising a PO on our inhouse system.
- Maintaining all documentation for the purpose of auditing.
- Receiving all deliveries and checking the good received, liaising with suppliers on any discrepancies.
- Picking & packaging parts for both internal use and nationwide export.
- Organising and delivering goods from the central stores to other depots when required.
- Improving availability of equipment ensuring fluid fleet movement throughout the depot network.
- Working closely with the National Service Manager to support quick repair turn around.
- Assisting with loading/unloading equipment through the use of a forklift in both workshop and yard.
- Adhering to all company Policies and procedures (including Health and Safety Procedures within the workshop environment)
